Val Ferret: what to do between refuges, lakes and panoramas

Val Ferret in Courmayeur: the most beautiful trails, panoramic refuges (Bonatti, Bertone) and family activities.
Val Ferret is the alpine valley that starts from Courmayeur and stretches at the foot of the Grandes Jorasses and Dente del Gigante: a postcard of the Mont Blanc range.
Refuges and hikes
The main trails lead to Rifugio Bertone (2,000 m) and Rifugio Bonatti (2,025 m), stages of the legendary Tour du Mont Blanc. The climb to Bertone starts from Planpincieux and takes about 2 hours.
Family activities
The flat-valley pedestrian trail (8 km from Planpincieux to Arnouvaz) is perfect for easy walks or cycling, with rentals on site.
What to see
A must-see at the Brenva glacier and glacial lakes. In summer, working alpine pastures sell freshly made fontina, toma and butter.
