Paraggi beach between Santa Margherita and Portofino: how to get there, prices, parking and practical tips.
The Paraggi beach is one of the most photographed in Liguria: turquoise waters and lush pinewoods, halfway between Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino.
How to get there
By car parking is very limited and expensive in summer. The best option is to take the urban bus from Santa Margherita (lines for Portofino) which stops directly in front of the beach. Boats from Rapallo and Santa Margherita also dock here.
Lidos and free beach
The bay is divided between historic lidos (Bagni Fiore, Bagni Paraggi) with high prices and two small free stretches in the centre. Arrive early in the morning to find a spot.
What to do beyond the sea
Behind the beach trails leave for the Portofino Park. For lunch, iconic spots on the water or simpler trattorias in Santa Margherita.
