The Aurelia Walk in Zoagli, perched above the sea
15 June 2026 · 3 min read
The Aurelia Walk in Zoagli: 1 km above the sea between tunnels, cliffs and coves. How to get there and what to see.
The Aurelia Walk in Zoagli is one of Liguria's most scenic stretches: a roughly one-kilometre pedestrian path carved into the rock, hanging over the Ligurian Sea.
The route
You start from Zoagli centre (Sant'Ambrogio side) and follow the path between tunnels, wrought-iron railings and clifftop views. Along the way, small stairways drop down to private coves where you can swim.
When to go
The best light is at sunset, when the sun lights up the cliffs. In summer, early morning or after 6 pm is best to avoid the heat. Closed shoes recommended.
What to pair with the visit
Finish the walk with an aperitif at Zoagli's little port or a swim at the central beach. The Liberty villas on the seafront are a small lesson in early 20th-century architecture.
